Cost and Travel faqs
-
Where is the work completed, and do you travel for ceramic coating?
We are fully mobile and complete the work at your location. Our regular routes cover the Midwest, and we can travel nationwide for larger projects.
-
What’s the cost of ceramic coating farm equipment?
Pricing depends on the type and size of equipment. Typical ranges are $3,000–$5,000 for tractors, $5,000–$8,000 for combines, $12,000–$15,000 for sprayers, $4,000–$5,000 for grain trailers, about $2,200 for service trucks, and about $4,200 for sleeper semis.
-
Do you offer a guarantee on your ceramic coating services?
Yes. We provide a multi-year guarantee on all ceramic coating projects when equipment is maintained with normal washing.
-
Do you require a deposit before starting the job?
No deposit is required. We operate on trust and a clear scope agreed by phone or message before work begins.
-
Do you charge a separate fee for travel?
Travel within our regular Midwest routes is included at no extra cost. For projects outside those routes, we only pass along actual transport expenses.
Coating & preparation information
-
Do you work year round or only seasonally?
We work year round. In winter months we require a heated shop, while in warmer months cold storage or standard barns and sheds are fine.
-
How should I prep my equipment before ceramic coating?
A quick wash to remove loose dirt and debris is helpful. We handle all detailed prep, polishing, and paint correction before applying the coating.
-
What shop requirements do you need to complete the work?
We bring all equipment needed for the job. At minimum, the equipment must be inside a heated shop during winter or cold storage in warmer months, with access to electricity.
-
How long does the ceramic coating process take?
Most projects take one to three days depending on equipment size, paint condition, and the number of machines being coated.
-
How long does a ceramic coating last on equipment?
A ceramic coating typically lasts three to five years on farm and trucking equipment when properly maintained. Many customers report their paint lasting twice as long compared to uncoated machines.
-
How long does ceramic coating need to cure before equipment use?
Equipment can usually be put back into service after 24 hours. Full curing occurs over 5–7 days, during which the coating should be kept clean and dry.
-
Do I need to wax my equipment after ceramic coating?
No. Ceramic coating replaces the need for waxing and provides longer-lasting protection.
-
What is a ceramic coating and how does it work?
Describe the item or answer the question so that site visitors who are interested get more information. You can emphasize this text with bullets, italics or bold, and add links. -
What are the main benefits of ceramic coating your farm equipment?
Ceramic coating protects paint from UV, chemicals, and corrosion while making equipment easier to clean. Many owners also see higher resale value and less downtime for washing.
-
Is ceramic coating DIY-friendly for tractors and farm machinery?
Describe the item or answer the question so that site visitors who are interested get more information. You can emphasize this text with bullets, italics or bold, and add links. -
Will ceramic coating resist agrichemicals, fertilizer, and hay dust?
Yes. Ceramic coating slows chemical attack from fertilizer and agrichemicals and makes dusty buildup easier to clean.
-
What types of agricultural equipment can be ceramic coated?
Almost any painted or metal surface can be ceramic coated. We regularly coat tractors, combines, sprayers, trailers, and fleet trucks.
-
Is ceramic coating resistant to corrosion and oxidation?
Yes. Ceramic coating slows down corrosion and oxidation by sealing the surface and reducing exposure to oxygen, moisture, and chemicals.
-
Is annual maintenance or a booster required after coating?
No booster is needed. When equipment is washed using the methods we show on-site, the coating keeps performing for years without reapplication.
-
Can ceramic coating reduce resale value or improve it?
Ceramic coating improves resale value by preserving paint and keeping equipment looking newer. Buyers consistently pay more for machines that are cleaner and better protected.
-
Does ceramic coating prevent staining from manure?
No coating can completely prevent manure acid etching. Ceramic coatings still protect and keep surfaces easier to clean, but stains can occur if manure sits in the sun for weeks.
-
What types of coatings do you use on farm and trucking equipment?
We use professional-grade coatings built for agriculture and trucking, including Roar AG, Cerakote MC-2200, Cerakote MC-5500, Endura EX-2C, and IGL Aegis. We continually test niche flagship coatings to match specific applications.
-
What is the hardness of your coatings? Are they 9H?
Our coatings are rated 9H on the pencil hardness scale, but hardness is often a marketing claim where the full truth is hidden. True durability comes from chemical resistance, UV stability, and proper surface preparation.
-
Is ceramic coating even the right solution for my equipment?
Yes, when you want to protect paint, reduce wash time, and improve resale value. We also use coatings designed for bare metal and aluminum, though equipment that will never be cleaned is not a good fit.
-
What parts of a tractor are coated?
We polish and coat all painted, metal, and glass surfaces including hoods, fenders, cabs, frames, wheels, tanks, engine blocks, weights, suspension, plastics, and 3 point assemblies.
-
Does ceramic coating prevent scratches or rock chips?
No. Ceramic coatings do not stop scratches or rock chips. They protect against UV, chemicals, and staining, but paint will still scratch if impacted.
